The cost of Grand Assembly this year will again be $145.   Please order your Rainbow jewelry through the Ohio Grand Assembly on the forms the MA's and Grand Deputies received in their packets.   It is because of this program that we were able to hold the price of Grand Assembly to the same amount as last year.

There is a new pin program in Ohio for bringing in new members.  They are the Ohio Membership pins.  The program  started on January 1, 2008 and will go for at least three years.   The top line signer on a petition will receive a paint brush pin beginning with red and going through the rainbow for each new member that the girl brings in.  After all seven paint brushes have been earned by bringing in seven new members, the eighth petition will earn the palette pin, which will be awarded by Mom Morris at Grand Assembly.   Mother Advisors are to send in the pin form to submit girls names to Maribeth Metzler after the new girl is initiated and Maribeth will mail to pin to the Assembly for presentation.   And, yes, you can earn more than one set of pins!  Wouldn't that be wonderful!  Go get'em Ohio Rainbow!

I have a request.  It would help me a lot if when you email me to put a date on the website that you include your Assembly number.  It would save me looking it up every time.  Thanks!

Our message board has been disabled for the time being.  It may become permanent.  Lately I have been getting 12-15 persons a day registering that are obviously not Rainbow people and are undesirable to say the least.  In the past couple of weeks that number has increased drastically.  Each morning I delete them.  If the message board was getting regular use I wouldn't mind this so much, but it isn't.  There has been very little activity on it.    And with little or no activity the board is not serving any purpose.   If you have a date to post you can send it to me and I will post it on our Events page.   Grand Deputies, if you need an announcement made I can do that here on this page under News.   I am sorry that it has come down to this, but I think it is for the best, at least for now.

From your new GWA:

There was a lot of confusion with the packets given out on Saturday night.   If you are missing a packet or grabbed the wrong one, please let Lauren know.   Also, if you have a double office you should only have received ONE packet.  If you have two, please let Lauren know.  Or if you are missing a brag rag let Lauren know.

What a great Grand Assembly!   Congratulations to the 2006-07 Grand Officers on a job well done!   And congrats also to the new 2007-08 Grand Officers.  We look forward to working with all of you over the coming year.   Have a safe and fun summer and we will see you in our travels!

11/26/06

I have made a change to our message board that will now require new registrants to undergo a 24 hour waiting period before they will be allowed to post or reply to a message.   In essence this will prevent the posting of inappropriate messages we have been getting.   In order for me to give permission for users to post in our forums, I must be able to verify your connection to Rainbow.   So when you register for the first time it would be very helpful if in the interests block in your registration if you would include your connection to Rainbow.  Such as majority, Grand Officer, current member, parent, Deputy, etc.   Otherwise I will be contacting you for this information.
